The Chickasaw Nation is proud to collaborate with the Pontotoc County Drug Free Coalition on Step Out of the Darkness, an annual community event recognizing prevention and recovery from addiction. The event takes place Sept. 9 from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at East Central University.
This family-friendly gathering hosts a variety of activities, including a prayer march from the Pontotoc County Courthouse to the East Central Centennial Plaza, a prevention and recovery rally, giveaways, games, informational booths and a talent show.
Transportation for the prayer march will be available from the Kerr Activity Center to the courthouse.
